About Me

I am Anjali Chaurasiya, a pharmaceutical management graduate from India who found her passion and inner calling in healthy and vegetarian indian cooking. The journey of Koch Dich Indisch began with me in the heartland of India – Madhya Pradesh, where I grew up surrounded by traditional Indian foods and flavours and was always fascinated with the process of cooking. I helped my mom, aunts, and grandma early on in the kitchen which allowed for first-hand experience of traditional Indian food and its various cooking techniques. Due to my father’s job we moved to new regions every few years. This meant a deep-dive into Indian food culture all over the country!

This continued during my higher studies from National Institute of pharmacy where my batch mates, who had come from different parts of India, inspired me to experiment with foods from different regions and palates of India. My life in Germany with my husband and a little one, gave me a wonderful opportunity to experiment and combine Indian food with German and other International flavours. After living in Germany for more than a decade now, I love to explore, experiment and customize traditional indian recipes as per the locally sourced fresh german produce. Being a pharmacist and a huge Ayurveda enthusiast myself, I love to apply my scientific knowledge to my recipes, thus enhancing their nutritional profile.

Koch Dich Indisch was founded in Biberach an der Riss in the year 2018, with a purpose of sharing the mantra, “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT”. With this, we strive to motivate all health and food enthusiasts to follow a HOLISTIC and MINDFUL approach.

It’s all about making CHOICES…

  • FROM SEED TO YOUR KITCHEN: understanding the cultivation process and the types, Conventional or Organic ingredients?
  • OVEN OR STOVE?: Choose the right method and enhance the nutritional profile of the food
  • OPTIMISING WITH INNOVATION: Effective buying and efficiently and sustainably utilizing resources
  • CUSTOMISED TO LOCAL: Making best possible choices to use local ingredients to help the local farmers
  • THE GOOD HODGEPODGE, SPICES: Yes, we are here to take off your fear of SPICES. We help to simplify using the right spice combination for the right cuisine.
